Winfield Campground

Hosted by: Winfield Campground J. Strom Thurmond Lake Georgia Winfield Overview Winfield Campground has 80 campsites (50-amp electric/water) and is located next to the Little River on J. Storm Thurmond Lake. Most of the sites are right along the shoreline. Campsite can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (25 to 65 feet). In addition to water & electric hookups, each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection and a dump station. There’s also a playground, boat launch and picnic / day-use area. Firewood is available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is fair in the area. Other campgrounds in the area include Raysville, Clay Hill, Big Hart, Mistletoe State Park, Amity Recreation Area, Petersburg and Ridge Road. Windfield Campground – Area Recreation & Activities Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
