We were looking for a safe place to car camp after a concert at Isleta. It was a 10 minute drive to the venue and located near tons of breakfast places. It's a no nonsense pad to park your van/small RV but has water, a table (2 actually), and a grill. I was able to use the laundry and drying line too which was awesome! The site gets pretty warm early in the day if you don't have an awning (I was there in late June), but by late afternoon it's mostly shaded and really pleasant. Its pretty close (1/2 mile) to an amazing multi-use path where you can bike, run or walk for up to 35 miles! Lots of people were out on it. Also there's a taco truck about 2 blocks away that's amazing. Cute coffee shops within walking distance or a short drive (Fino, The Brew, Zendo). The Growers Market on Saturdays is still open through end of October at Robinson Park, and Sunday’s Rail Yards Market is just a short few blocks walking distance. The space itself is quiet, secure and has access to electric and water, which is perfect. There is a KOA about a 15 minute drive on I-40 East to conveniently empty your tanks, and all around it is just a really nice respite. Highly recommend if you are passing through!
