"reviewBody": "We stayed here for one night on July 25, 2018. \n\nThis is one huge park. I wanted to stay here as my father went through Naval basic training here in 1942.  Since then the base has been turned into a college and then into a state park.  A nice museum is located here with the history of the naval training base.\n\nEvery site is immaculately maintained with even the gravel being raked between visitors.  There are hot showers (in private rooms), visitor center, swimming, boating, fishing, and a host of other activities. There are several disc golf courses and the visitor center sells Frisbee/discs for that purpose.\n\nThe sites have water and electric hookups and the park has multiple dump stations throughout.",

"reviewBody": "Pros: most sites are large and well appointed with paved driveways and gravel pad for picnic table, fire pit, and tents if you have them. Water and electricity at site. Plenty of trails to walk. Three dump and water stations. \nCons: check in is way too late (2 pm), they require you to check in at visitor center, and the parking lot is not large enough to accommodate all the rvs checking in at 2 pm. Other con is no campsites on the water. The shoreline is very scenic but the camp and surroundings not so much. Just overstocked young forest. Also our electric post was damaged so cord kept coming unhooked. Had to bungee cord it. ",

"reviewBody": "I rarely ever give bad ratings, but this was the worst camping experience I’ve ever had. Their check in process reminds me of the DMV—including rude staff. The park itself is massive and has lots to do. Each campground only has one main bathroom, so you’ll be wise to bring something to ride to get to the restrooms because some sites are 1/3 of a mile away. ",
