If you choose to park halfway down you can walk the rest or we can help transport gear in our vehicle\. Thank you so much for the private campground space. We loved being in the valley surrounded by redwood trees. There was enough openness that we were warm down on the river bed, but could get in the shade if needed. Most of the space was shallow close to the shore, but there was a swimming hole for the bigger kids. It’s a drive from the main road, immediate fork to the right and down, past a rock quarry and past a long wood fence then a steep drive down into the property with some side roads, narrow and tight turn to the house. The family was at the house and met us with animals and guided us down to our camping spot. We rented the large tent which was great to have it already set up. Picnic table and great spring water. 5 gallon bucket camping toilet with bags was better than squatting . It was private and we felt like we had our own space once we were down at the river.
