From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the hospitality and communication were top notch! The park is just off Gholson Rd, and there's no signage, so I drove past it the first time... and that's where it all started. Ricky, the father of the gentleman that owns this park, just happened to be behind us on the road when I pulled over. He pulled over right in front of us, asked if we were looking for the park, and guided us right on in! He came by the property the next day and talked with me for a bit. He invited us to check out their property down by the Brazos River (where they've got an AirBnB and are working on adding others, cattle, beautiful fields of wild flowers, and private access to the Brazos. Ricky is a busy man - but took the time to bring us around the property, talk to us about their plans, and (for a bonus) even brought us to the pasture to feed the cows! Communication was great. Hospitality was unparalleled! Can not wait to stay here again any time we're back in that neck of the woods! The man said rather rudely “Can we help you” assuming we were not supposed to be there. I let them know I made a reservation on hipcamp and the wife said the son did not know anything about it. She said that they would let their son know. I said if there was any more problems to let us know. Never heard anything else. Then a bit later another car pulled in and sat there for awhile. After the first encounter we just felt like we were not wanted there and were very uncomfortable. I made a reservation for two nights but we left the next morning and went somewhere else. Plus it is hard to spot from the road, we passed it twice (even our gps was confused).
