no better place to explore Cannock Chase from than Tackeroo. Smack on the middle of all the fun and the red rout cycle track goes straight through it. You can be the first on the rout down to the visitors centre while it's still quiet. The surroundings are fantastic and beautiful, and I like the fact there are no services other than a water pipe and toilet flush. Sitting among the trees in the evening and chilling out after a busy days days biking is absolute bliss. It was a fantastic experience being in the thick of the trees.. the wardens were so friendly and made me feel secure considering we were too women alone with children however everyone was so friendly that we came across. The camp feels Like you are in the middle of nowhere but actually the town and local amenities are only 4 minutes drive away. Cannock chase forest has so much to offer, the bike tracks are amazing, hiking and walking or running routes well marked. The gruffalow trail for the kids is brilliant. There is a go ape, bike hire and a massive play area. I highly recommend staying here. Beautiful location. Spotlessly clean, fresh water running and a disposal point for our loo. It was all we needed, which is why we went there.\r\nOne of my favourite trails in Cannock starts just after the campsite boundary, so we had a great days riding over to and around Birches Valley.\r\nI've been there before, but first time I've taken the whole family and they loved it too." } ] }
