The site itself is very secluded and private with beautiful large trees and plenty of space. We had everything we needed with grills (fire and charcoal) and provided firewood. It’s very close to Fredericksburg and more importantly for us Enchanted Rock which we were able to visit easily. We will definitely be back! The setup was perfect for campers, and we really loved the amount of open space adjacent to the campsite for our kiddos to play. We were able to use the fire ring once the wind died down in the evening and the site provided plenty of firewood, including deadfall from the grove of trees in the surrounding area. The stars did not disappoint! The portable toilet available was very close to the site and freshly cleaned/emptied. There were deer in the clearing when we arrived, and the owners' two mules grazed in the pasture next to us. They even graced us with their presence right in our campsite as we were packing up to leave. We enjoyed seeing them as well as hearing other animals on the ranch. Only 20 minutes from Enchanted Rock and 15 minutes into town.
