If you're looking to get away from everything, this is your spot. The site itself was pristine (as was the bathroom!!) , and I must say it's truly a gem in the land-sharing/camping niche. I have to admit I'm a bit of a groupie for this spot, as I've had the pleasure of staying at this lakeside location in their tiny cabin and in the main house rentals, and it has been incredible each time around. The campsite is off a path around the lake, about a 5-10 minute walk from where you park near the main house. You are surrounded by glorious water views, but the site itself is secluded and peaceful. Plus there are plenty of trees around for prime hammock hangs :) And did I mention the bathroom? They have the most amazing outdoor shower with twinkle lights and a pergola covered in beautiful flowering vines. It's incredible. I've been to plenty of campsites and cabins and at this point, this one is by far my favorite.\r\n\r\n All in all, you can tell this is a lovingly maintained family owned property. The campsite was perfect! We spent all weekend watching fish, turtles and birds and alternating between the campsite and the access beach. It's a walk-in site with a 4-5 minute easy hike from the house (where you park) and shower/bathroom/water to get to the campsite. If you're car campers like we are and pack a lot of stuff, take note that you'll be doing a few trips back to the car. (If you're new to camping, it might not be the best option just because walk-ins add an extra layer of work.) It was worth it for the seclusion for us! If you're planning on arriving after dark definitely take the hike into account and bring headlamps/flashlights. Robin left out a very handy wagon that we used to cart our stuff.\r\n\r\nRobin was great to work with and check-in was a breeze. She also offered some tips on great places to grab food if you want to take a break from campfire meals. :)\r\n\r\nBring bug spray - it's camping after all. We did see ticks, but no more than we usually do when we're out in the woods. The site has a picnic table, a lovely firepit / cooking grate, and gorgeous views. (And free firewood!) The outdoor shower was beautiful and the lake was perfect for swimming, paddle-boarding or just floating. \r\n\r\nWe're already discussing when we'll be back. Wow what a great spot. From the moment I stepped foot on the property serenity took over. You are welcomed by lush green everywhere and a spectacular lake. A 5 minute trail takes you to the campsite, a secluded spot surrounded by lake views. Don't forget to stop by \"Ted's Tower\" on your way! Swim, sail, paddle board, canoe, float... whatever you do, make sure to get in that lake because the water is perfect. Reflect on the dock or lounge in one of the many chairs or hammocks by the shore to take in all the beauty and peace around you. And what is camping without a campfire? Firewood is provided, making life even easier. The vine covered bathroom is cleanly and complete with fairy lights when night falls. \r\n\r\nThis place is the perfect getaway if you are looking for an intimate and beautiful spot. We were looking for something private but with access to facilities also in a good location for summer fun. This was exactly that. On top of that, Robin was an excellent host. She is very easy to communicate with and was eager to know if there was anything she could do to improve our experience. \r\n\r\nThe camping area is tucked away on the side of the lake away from the house and her other rentals. We had lot's of stuff with us but the walk never felt too long and she lent us a wagon to make it even easier. The site is pretty big and had everything we needed including a picnic table, fire ring, grill grate and shovel. It's right on the water so there were gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The outdoor bathroom is located back at the house. It was very clean, well stocked and spacious. There's lots to do on the property too including swimming/boating in the lake and walking the grounds. Just wish we had booked a couple more days to take full advantage of the amenities!\r\n\r\nThe whole Cape May area is really amazing and we had lots of options to explore beyond the property. The beaches are about 15 mins driving and lots of Shore attractions nearby. We would definitely come back!\r\n\r\n" } ] }
