I would have liked being able to travel throughout the property to the Rio Grande but the primitive road only goes about 75 yards and then is impassable because of thick brush or soft sand and erosion. The location is about 30 minutes from conveniences and 60 minutes to the west-side of Big Bend State Park and about 2 hours to the west entrance of Big Bend NP. Hardly any vehicle traffic on the road going by the property which is wonderful! From the photos I expected to see the Rancho del Mapache sign but it is not visible from the road. \r\n\r\nVery remote and the silence and solitude was fantastic!
