It is a haven for artists, who flock to capture the unique light, the melting sunsets and clusters of charming fishing boats\.You can browse their work in the town’s many galleries\.Park AmenitiesAt Polmanter we have excellent facilities all maintained to the highest standard\.With shower and toilet blocks of exceptional quality, all are regularly inspected and have attained an “excellent” grading from the English Tourist Board inspector\.All showers have free hair dryers, shaver points and electric sockets for visitors’ own electric hair appliances\.The newest block, opened in 2011 and situated in Levant meadow, has individual shower rooms, a disabled suite, 2 baby bathrooms and under\-floor heating\. Our baby changing room has fun décor and deep sinks suitable for bathing small children and it is situated close to two family shower rooms\.Chemical disposal points can be found outside each Amenity Building\.Our laundry room is open all day and evening\. It has industrial quality coin operated washing and drying machines providing excellent laundry facilities\. Deep sinks for hand washing and free irons can also be found here\.Public wireless internet access is available from all pitches at Polmanter so do bring your laptop\. Pre paid cards can be purchased on arrival or during your stay\.If you don’t bring your laptop with you, internet access is available at Reception for a small charge\.You will also find lots of local tourist information, bus timetables and discount vouchers at Reception\.Our office hours are 9am – 6pm in low season and 9am – 8pm in the high season\. Our Receptionists are there to answer any queries you have about your stay and they also have a vast knowledge of the local area\.Next door to Reception is the on\-site convenience shop\* open from Spring Bank Holiday at the end of May to mid September\. We have a vehicle barrier entry system which is locked between the hours of midnight and six thirty am and during the high season, our night warden regulary patrols the park from 10pm to 5am\.Dogs are welcome at Polmanter as long as they are kept on a lead at all times\. We have a large dog exercise area with free runs and dedicated bins\. Well behaved dogs are allowed in the conservatory but not in the bar or pool area\.Food and DrinkA warm welcome awaits you in The Stable Bar and Restaurant\* where you can relax after a busy day\. Delicious meals are served each evening in the bar lounge, family lounge and conservatory which overlooks the \*swimming pool\. It includes 2 large tyre swings, a climbing frame and a large slide\.For all ball games like cricket, football, and activities such as kite flying, there is a large Sports Field situated close to the park entrance which has 2 goal posts and lots of room to run\.We prefer not to allow ball games on site to protect peoples’ caravans and tents\.
