location is perfect. It’s the perfect blend of camping & glamping. Nice to have the bathhouse with awesome outdoor shower! The fridge was a great bonus to store food. The dome was So fun to sleep in and the bed was comfortable! Our dog loved the address too. The hike to the lagoon is a bit of a trek but more than worth it! What an incredible way to spend the day in the Trinity River. The hosts thought of everything and probably more! We have bookmarked this spot as our new favorite go to and will absolutely be coming back. Having the site to ourselves is really what sold us, once there though the positive energy that this location holds is absolutely magical! Had totally forgotten about Kinetic Sculpture race, an annual Humboldt County event every Memorial Day weekend. \nWhat a stroke of luck! This little privately owned camping area is so quaint. There are actually two places to stay. The see-through dome with the perpetual sky view, and a larger canvas tent that has an amazing river view and a sweet little deck to hang out on. For our second night, we had our choice of either but opted to stay in the canvas tent because It had more space and the river view was so good! \n\nOur host Johanna (Jo) Was very communicative and helpful with any questions we asked. On the second evening, she came to clean the bathroom facility and introduced herself and was very friendly. She even went so far as to make us a campfire! She went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. \nThe site has a shared bathroom, outdoor shower which is super groovy, and a functional kitchen with enough gear to cook simple meals. There are even some spices, etc. Including some coffee and creamer, which really saved the day! There are a lot of little touches that give this place character. Well done.\nOverall, this was one of the best stays I have had On the road. I’m not really big on camping, but The Riverview glamping area is totally doable. And even if you are, it still feels like camping.\nHighly recommend. Great location just 3 minutes from town by car. Hike down to the river is steep but doable and there is a lovely hike down to the rock bar that is very private.
