enjoyed our time on Scot and Brooke's property. Check-in was very easy. Directions on getting there and instructions for the site were very clear. When we arrived we noticed some things had been missed by the cleaning person and I had messaged Scot and Brooke to ask if we could have them brought to us. They were very apologetic and said the cleaning person had an urgent issue and was unable to completely finish setting up. Scot came by and brought us what we needed and even tidied up a bit more. The vault toilet was very clean and even in the hottest parts of the day had no odor at all. The shower was a very nice touch, especially after a long hike! It did get a bit too hot but that's preferable to too cold! Brooke offered to bring fresh made lattes Sun morning but, sadly, we had a late morning and missed it. They were great hosts and we hope to come back and stay again in the future. Despite being the height of summer, it was very cool (and a little cold!). We were a party of two. I brought and slept on a twin air mattress which fit very nicely in the tent, alongside the bed. We also found extra cots under the bed, so bringing our own wasn't absolutely necessary. There was a picnic table next to the tent, so we had a late dinner while looking at the stars. It's located on a grassy meadow and super peaceful and quiet. There were plenty of extra blankets too. We didn't get to stay as long as we would have liked since we needed to leave very early the next morning. Scot greeted us early in the morning as we were packing to leave, and we were able to get help from him to pull out a necklace that had dropped between the slats! Scot immediately got us a wire and we were able to retrieve the necklace before we had to leave.
