It was parked along the tree line on the edge of a pasture. About 50 sheep with lambs, an alpaca, a gentle, friendly pony and a horse were in the field next to us. If you’re a dog lover, you’ll really appreciate his farm dogs, who were happy to hang with us and keep us company. The tent was quite comfortable, though it took some concentration to safely maneuver getting up and down the ladder. The port a pot was the freshest smelling, cleanest one I’d ever encountered, and the other tent sites were in the same field, but not at all close to our site. The town of Bel Air is very close by with numerous restaurants. I would recommend the Sunny Day Cafe or one of the others on main st in the old town center. Bel Air also has just about any retail store you can think of. If you want to stay away from all of that, there are several nice parks within 20-30 minutes of the farm. Harford Glen is an environmental center that has a boardwalk through some wetlands, hiking trails through the woods and along side a creek, and a pond. Check online to find out when it’s open to the public. Rocks State Park also has hiking trails, with Dear Creek running through it. Visit the King and Queen Seat while you’re there. Also nearby, is a popular rail trail if you have bikes with you. Our stay at Edwin’s farm was very pleasant and carefree, which is just what we were looking for. Thanks Edwin!
