It’s about a 45 min walk to town but it’s an easy walk to do/ remember. I think the best part about this property was that the host, Nyna, was so kind and friendly! (And I’m sure Machai is too, I just didn’t run into him). As someone who also lives off grid at home, it was so nice to have the chance to chat and swap stories about our unconventional ways of life. I wish we’d had more time to chat. If I’m ever back in Taos, I would definitely camp here again! We had our own camp stove but shared the space in the outdoor kitchen. Loved getting water from the pump/well and chatting in the evenings. We showered at a nearby youth and family center, which worked great. \n\nThis was a lovely spot that felt away but close to the main part of Taos and the canyon.
