enjoyed the area. It was quiet and relaxing. I pitched a small tent for myself, had a fire and cooked up some steak on the fire. They provide firewood (I’d recommend bringing some kindling of your own and maybe just one bundle of dry wood as the provided wood are thick and large pieces), a hatchet, a picnic table, large fire pit with a swivel grate for cooking. They also provide a ton of kayaks, canoes, or small rowboats to play around with on the little manmade lake. I enjoyed going out onto the lake and seeing the ecosystem the manmade lake created and having a few beers while watching the sun set behind the mountains. It was great. Every site is lakefront. The sites are fairly spread out. The porta potty was clean. I tend to typically stay at primitive sites, but this was awesome. I really enjoyed it.
