Even our dog had a ball! Owners Charlie, Hannah and Simon made our stay both effortless and fun. Pizza night is one not to miss - beautiful homemade sourdough pizza base with glorious toppings like goat's cheese and honey. The boys loved their morning surf lessons at nearby Sandymouth Beach, and the afternoons were spent walking along the stunning coastline, or sightseeing. I can highly recommend the cream tea at Docton Mill Gardens! Clovelly is a lovely day out and do grab lunch at The Glorious Oyster beach shack in Westward Ho! Be sure to book a massage at the Koa Beach Hut and bliss out. The camp was pretty full the week we visited, but everyone seemed to get along and manage sharing the communal spaces admirably. Book breakfast at the cafe on site if you can - the Shakshouka is real treat! From the moment of booking to arrival, Andy did a wonderful job of keeping us fully informed and updated on all of the activities that would be available to us with the ever changing British weather. The drive to Koa Tree Camp through Devon is scenic and the turning into the site is well signposted and impossible to miss. Upon arrival, Gema gave a tour of the yurts, themed bathrooms (our favourite was Beano!) and the awesome 'rainy-day room' showing clever 'upcycling' designs and explaining the origins of creation behind them. Koa Tree Camp is ideally located close to the coast, which enabled us to enjoy surfing at Widemouth Bay and a trip to Westward Ho! The yurts are very spacious and warm, with views of rolling hills dotted with sheep and lambs to wake up to in spring. The Old Smithy Inn is highly recommended for an evening out, which demonstrates Andy, Sam & Gema's knowledge of and close ties with the local community. Cannot recommend this place enough and we will certainly be back.
