The location of the campgrounds is excellent. The town and Joshua Tree park were really close. The kids had a blast riding their bikes in the community center just east of the rv grounds. Camp host was great. It was very windy when we arrived and the host helped us relocate to shield us from the wind. We decided to stay and extra day and host made that as easy as possible. The grounds are really clean and well kept. They had showers with hot water(2 total), regular toilets, a sink area to do dishes, fire pits and a common area for guests. I think they even had a laundry room too, but we didn’t use it. \n\nIf you are a tent camper, bring shade with you. The tent spots are fully exposed. There are only about 4 or 5 tent spots. Everything else is RV/Trailer spots. We had an issue with the wind (it was VERY windy) when we arrived so we ended up sleeping in the bed of my truck. Two people managed to get their all season tents up. Unfortunately, my Walmart tent ended up catching wind and turned into a giant kite. Lol Plan ahead with a back up shelter option. \n\nThis place also backs up to a community center with a playground and basketball courts. It was a nice bonus we got to play at the playground before bed. \n\nThe host is very nice and even came out to greets us when we arrived and was available for questions. \n\nIf you’re looking for a chill base camp in the desert, this is the place.
