HIDDEN VALLEY NATURE CENTER Is 1,000 acres of Protected Land in Jefferson, Maine \- Rich with a variety of habitat and terrain including over a mile of shore front on Little Dyer Pond\. Miles of multi\-use trails great for hiking, birding, and biking\. You can even explore our rolled and groomed XC ski trails in the winter\. Hidden Valley Nature Center \(HVNC\) is your forest\. HVNC is part of Midcoast Conservancy, and a portion of the booking fees goes to support our mission to protect and restore vital lands and waters on a scale that matters\. I was a wee bit disappointed that the Pond Cabin wasn’t available (my husband took a class to help build it!) …but oh my gosh! The Joe and Doe Cabin was SO private and situated in such a beautiful spot, which was close to the Main Barn and probably the easiest to haul things in to. I think it was ideal for us. My 4 year old has been obsessed with camping, this was a good introduction. The wood stove was wonderful and kept us HOT most of the night. We had bought my 2 year old a down bunting sleeping bag, which she did not use. We had to open a window, haha. The sound of the owls and sleeping in the moonlight was charming.
