The property was private and we felt very secure during our stay here. The host, Jeff, met us at the gate when we pulled in. He was very amiable and gave us good tips about the area. \n\nThe driveway onto the property was a dirt and gravel mix. Despite the recent rains, our campervan had no problems driving in and out of our camping spot. The camping spot itself had a nice large and level gravel pad to park on. We heard owls hooting both nights of our stay. You wouldn't know that you we in the midst of a suburban setting. The location is very close to the Historic Charleston District. When we arrived, it was a large construction site. We were showed where our RV would park, which was in a little nestled in a little wooded area connected to the construction site. We were told to be careful that trucks would be coming and going. There was a fair amount of garbage in the woods. It just didn’t feel nice or safe. Even though we paid for the site we left. This is the first time in eight years we have ever written a negative review on any campground or left, especially for a paid site. " } ] }
