The site is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site, and we are able to accept up to five caravans, motorhomes or trailer\-tents \(membership of the Club is required\), as well as tents \(membership not required for tents\)\. There is a small toilet block with wash basin and drinking water, but no showers or other facilities\. This is a surprisingly quiet rural area for the South East, with plenty of good footpaths to explore the countryside, and the Navigation here is very popular amongst canoeists \(licence required\)\. The village of Woodham Walter is just under one mile to the south and has three pubs \(The Bell, The Cats and The Queen Victoria\), a shop, post office and a church\. The small village of Ulting, to the north, has a picturesque church beside the Navigation\. Campers should make themselves known to June Meads, residential caretaker, at her boat Graceful King \- usually the second boat along after the lock \(not at the lock cottage\) before pitching their tent\.
