We offer pitches for around a dozen tents, hardstanding for three motorhomes and rent out our Caravan "Bertha"\.We are nestled in the beautiful Colden valley between Hebden Bridge and Blackshaw Head in West Yorkshire\.We are a 10\-minute car drive, a short door to door bus journey, or a leisurely 30 minute walk from the vibrant town of Hebden Bridge\.We are a small but friendly campsite offering basic facilities in a stunning location\. We are located only ¼ of a mile from the Pennine Way where it passes through local beauty spot Hebble Hole\.We are also located on the Pennine Bridleway which is used daily by horse riders and cyclists\.The New Delight pub, which is run separately from the campsite, offers hot food and locally brewed ales and a warm welcome to our campers\.FacilitiesToilet and \(free\) hot showerElectric hook\-ups \(£2 per day\)We lend out fire pits and sell bags of logsOur office is based in the caravan nearest to the pub\. If the office is not open we post information on the noticeboard directly in front of it with pitching up instructions\.The award\-winning May’s Farm shop is located 10 minutes walk away and stocks an incredible range of groceries, newspapers, fresh meat and veg and all those essential extras to make your stay worthwhileNew for 2013 is the Great Rock Coop farm shop, a collective of local food producers selling bread, meat, cheeses, preserves, beer, eggs, seasonal vegetables and much more\. The Coop will stocking our own Jumbled Jams\. The shop is open weekly on Saturdays between 10am and 2pm, ideal for our weekend campers\!The adjacent New Delight pub is open daily serving a range of fine ales from Blackshaw Head’s own Bridestones Brewery and offers hot food at the weekend\.A bus service operates from directly outside the pub on an hourly basis, serving Heptonstall and Hebden Bridge\. In addition on Saturdays, two afternoon shopper buses travel over the stunning Long Causeway route to Burnley\.Things to DoWe've a range of a local attractions right on our doorstep, as well as some interesting ideas for days out a bit further afield\. We have a range of leaflets on site to help you with your planning, but make sure whilst you're with us you visit:Hebble HoleJust a short stroll down the bridleway opposite the campsite will lead you to local beauty spot Hebble Hole, ideal for a picnic and a paddle in fine weatherHebden BridgeHebden Bridge recently celebrated its 500th anniversary and enjoys a deserved reputation as a vibrant town, with an unrivalled range of independent shops, creative arts and bohemian vibe\.Visit award\-winning music venue the Trades Club, host to packed\-out gigs for over 25 years\.Enjoy the spacious charm of the Hebden Bridge Picture House, where you can sip a mug of tea whilst enjoying the best in mainstream and independent cinema\.Hebden Bridge also is host to the UK's first community website, the HebWeb, which as well as envjoying lively debate, is your best local guide to what's on out and about\.HeptonstallVisit the ancient village of Heptonstall just a mile away, famous for its cobbled streets, derelict church and Good Friday's Pace Egg Plays, reviving an ancient tradition of Pennine Mummer's plays\.WalkingStep into Heptonstall Parish \(a stone's throw across the river\) which is reputed to have the greatest concentration of footpaths per square mile of anywhere in Britain \- explore at your leisure\.Follow the river Colden down to Hebden Bridge via the bridleway opposite the campsite, or cross the river at Hebble Hole for the more adventurous footpath route via a valley which once boasted 17 millsDust off your OS Map and take a hike upriver towards Scotland, Egypt and Greenland, via the beautiful but melancholy Noah Dale, the valley of abandoned housesOr head out through Blackshaw Head on the Long Causeway towards Burnley, and visit the Bridestones \- a weird and wonderful series of rocky outcrops\. Look out towards Stoodley Pike and on a clear day you might just catch a glimpse of 'Tod Beach', probably Britain's highest bathing spot\!CyclingWest Yorkshire is considered 'God's own country' for mountain biking \- check out the extensive local network of bridleways\.Follow National Cycle Route 68 via its two routes into Lancashire \(over Long Causeway to Burnley or via Widdop to Colne\)\.DirectionsPlease ignore your SatNav\!From Mytholmroyd/Halifax/M62 J24 Follow A646 to Hebden Bridge\. Drive through Hebden Bridge and continue past the Co\-op\.At the traffic lights opposite the Fox and Goose continue straight on \(there is no right turn\)Use the turning circle to come back on yourself and turn left at the Fox and Goose up Heptonstall Road \(signposted Heptonstall/ Slack/ Colden\)Continue on this road for approx 3 miles taking the diversion through Heptonstall \(after half a mile\)\. Ignore the turn off to Widdop/Colne \(after 2 miles\) and continue towards Burnley\. You will eventually descend into Colden Valley\.After passing Colden J & Infant School you will cross Jack Bridge to reach the New Delight InnThe campsite is located immediately next to the pub\. From Todmorden/Rochdale/Littleborough M62 J21Follow A646 towards Hebden BridgeAs you approach Hebden Bridge\. drive past the turning circleAt the traffic lights turn left at the Fox and Goose pub; signposted Heptonstall/Slack/Colden\.Continue on this road for approx 3 miles taking the diversion through Heptonstall \(after half a mile\)\. Ignore the turn off to Widdop/Colne \(after 2 miles\) and continue towards Burnley\. You will eventually descend into Colden Valley\.After passing Colden J & Infant School you will cross Jack Bridge to reach the New Delight InnThe campsite is located immediately next to the pub\.\.From BurnleyFrom the main roundabout in Burnley \(opposite TK Maxx/Gala Bingo\) head towards Todmorden/Halifax \(A646\) along Yorkshire StreetAt the traffic lights just before Burnley FC, go straight on \(highlighted Worsthorne\)Continue up the hill past the football ground on your left\. After 3/4 of a mile, at the mini\-roundabout near the Spar, go straight on towards Holme Chapel\.After another mile, you will reach Mereclough\-In\-Cliviger\. Turn left immediately after the Kettledrum Inn on to Long Causeway\.Continue on Long Causeway for 6 miles until you reach Blackshaw Head\. Follow the road round to the left \(signposted Jack Bridge, Colden and Hebden Bridge\) and follow the winding road down the hill\. The campsite is on your left hand side just before you reach the New Delight pubPennine Way \(walkers\)Leave the Pennine Way where it crosses the River Colden \(at Hebble Hole\)\.Follow the bridleway directly above Hebble Hole \(to the south on a map\) towards Shaw Bottom and Jack Bridge for ¼ a mile until you reach a road\.The campsite is directly opposite\.If you are using an OS map we are at Jack Bridge/New Delight SAT NAVYears of experience tells us that Sat Navs are best avoided in this area and may direct you down bridleways, footpaths or in the worst case scenario streams\!Please use the directions given above\.
