Located in the East Midlands just 15 miles North of Nottingham we are within easy access of the M1, A1, A46 and A17\. Local attractions include Belvoir Castle, Belton Woods and the historic market town of Newark on Trent\.We are a family run business set within the estate of our arable farm and surrounded by 800 acres of award winning farm and wood land\. Hawton Waters boasts a stunning 14 acre fishing lake and has an array of walkways including those along the river Devon which flows through our estate\. FacilitiesIndoor and outdoor storage for caravans, motorhomes and other leisure vehicles, all secured in purpose built compounds and monitored by CCTV\.Caravan and Motorhome leisure breaks, with lake side / lake view pitches and access to electric, water stand pipe and waste disposal facilities\.Private 14 acre fishing lake stocked with a variety of fish including Carp, Bream, Roach and Rudd to name a few\. All leisure break visitors are welcome to fish as well as members of our yearly syndicate\.Leisure Breaks Hawton Waters is the perfect place to relax, unwind and escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life\. There is plenty to do including fishing, walking, bird watching, visiting local attractions such as Belvoir Castle or Newark on Trent, or simply relax and enjoy the views\.We have been accredited by the Caravan Club as a ‘CL Site’ and are able to offer both electric and non electric hook ups\. All our pitches have access to fresh water, waste disposal facilities and have a lake view\. Development of our caravan site is on going, so please feel free to call us to check for further progress and facilities\.Fishing breaksHawton Waters offers anglers a choice of fishing in either our stunning 14 acre fishing lake or the River Devon which runs through our estate\.Fishing of the lake and river is permitted to our private syndicate members and leisure break visitors for an additional fee per day\. The lake is stocked with an array of fish including Mirror, Common, Leather and Ghost Carp,with recent catches of 38lb \(Big Betty\!\!\) as well as Bream, Roach, Rudd, Tench, Eel and Pike\. The river catches include Chub, Bream and Carp\.The waters and its surroundings are also home to some beautiful widlife and birds including Swans, Canadian Geese, Water Hens and for the bird watching enthusiasts the extremely rare Bitton, Long Eared Owl and red listed Tree Sparrows\.Wildlife WalksWe are extremely proud to have won many awards for our commitment to wildlife including ‘English Nature Farming For Wildlife Award’ and ‘The Wilkinson Award’\. Our estate has also been recognised as one of the few places in the country which successfully homes long eared owls and therefore we are part of a national scheme which places owl boxes in secure sites and monitors the owls breeding progress \(as featured on BBC’s Alan Titchmarsh Programme ‘Nature of Britain in Autumn’\.Our woodland is home to many Roe Deer and Otters are often seen around the banks of the River Devon\. Those taking a walk after dusk might just be lucky enough to see or hear one of our Barn or Long Eared Owls out hunting\.Hawton Waters really is the perfect place to fish or simply relax and take in the views an wildlifeSecure indoor and outdoor caravan storageHere at Hawton Waters we can offer a safe, secure place to store your caravan, motorhome or other leisure vehicle whilst not in use\. We are a CASSOA Gold Member and as such have been awarded with the highest accreditation for our security and facilities\.All storage areas are monitored by CCTV and our entire premises is secured by a large electronic entrance gate with key card access only\. We are open 7 days per week for access to stored vehicles between the hours of 8am and 6pm\. Visits outside of these hours can be arranged with prior notice\.Included in the price of our storage we offer other services including tyre pressure and wheel nut checks and use of our high pressure jet washer\.DirectionsWe are located close to the A46 on the outskirts of Newark\.
