"reviewBody": "Large site so you could spread out and really nice spot. The Horse and Groom pub is excellent. However, the campsite toilets were terrible, mostly compost ones where you had to pick up a well used cup, fill with sawdust to throw down the hole after you used it. No hand washing facility at toilets only sanitizer, but this wasn’t always available neither was loo roll! There were a few chemical toilets but 2 out of 4 unusable due to being blocked. There were drinking water taps just along from toilets, so washed hands with soap there, again soap not always available. Didn’t use the showers… A nice camping spot let down by facilities (which is the reason we booked as no other camp sites were available with toilets/showers). It was also very noisy with groups of campers over the Friday and Saturday night, so just mentioning in case this is something you don’t like while camping. Also we weren’t told you have to book a slot to get food at food trucks that come to site, we arrived late afternoon and all the slots up to 9:30pm had been booked already. Would have been good to know this in advance or at check in, so we could have planned another option. "

"reviewBody": "Positives: plenty of space, friendly and approachable staff, relaxed atmosphere, composting toilets, great showers, quiet after 11 pm\r\n\r\nA short walk to the Avon for river swimming was delightful. Tea and coffee on sale and local restaurants will deliver to site.\r\n\r\nNegatives after an enormous storm the waterlogged entrance and exit couldn't cope with traffic so vehicles couldn't leave. Fotunately, by the end of the week, there was some metal tracking in place making entry and exits much easier. \r\n\r\nI would prefer to have hand washing facilities outside the loos rather than just sanitiser and there are no washing up facilities, just a tap.\r\n\r\nIt was a bit on the pricey side for such a back to basics site, although the location is great. "reviewBody": "Beautiful open site with lots and lots of space, surrounded by majestic trees. Great walks, river swimming and village shop. Easy drive to the coast or to Salisbury, Fordingbridge, Stonehenge, and the New Forest. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff who always went the 'extra mile'. Great showers, great pizza, great coffee and croissants. Practically: it is a basic 'field' campsite, it is on a considerable slope, if it rains it can be difficult to get vehicles on and off, it is twice the price of most places we usually camp. If you like hustle and bustle you'll love it! Folks mainly kept the 10:30pm music curfew, but chose your pitch wisely or if you're the kind of camper who longs for peace and quiet you might struggle. However it's a brilliant camp for group's with friends and family. Children will love the freedom of it. For the time we camped it had a wonderful mini festival atmosphere."

The river Avon and church are stunning \r\nLovely pizza on the Friday"

"reviewBody": "My daughter, 2 teenage granddaughters and I spent 5 night's at Harry’s Meadow. Such a beautiful place, majestic entry through a very long avenue of mature trees is breathtaking. We were welcomed by Jesse and at once felt relaxed and confident that we would be happy here. Our large grand luxury lotus tent had comfy beds and felt very cozy. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Especially when our car had a flat battery just as we were checking out. I can’t thank the staff member who helped us enough. The facilities were clean, not easy with bio degradable loos either. We never had to queue for them or the showers. Tents snd facilities are very well spaced out, so much room was excellent and worth the walk to the loos etc. One evening a pizza wagon came, you need to pre order a time slot and we left it a bit late but they squeezed us in at the end and stayed late. Hot drinks and pastries were available to buy every morning and do take the bar-b-que as there’s nothing like cooking over an open fire using the seasoned logs they sell. Wonderful!"
