We are a 20 minute drive to Gympie where you can enjoy the Historical Steam Train "The Mary Valley Rattler" Pomona Distilling Co 15 minute drive\. Beautiful food and an extensive array of drinks\. Relaxed atmosphere, kids welcome\. If you enjoy hiking you can climb Mount Cooroora in Pomona National Park\. Magnificent view from the top\. Campers have access to 2 flushing toilets and a hot shower \($2 per shower\)\. Huge flat and mowed site with a beautiful lake, clean toilets and a shower (for a small fee). Such attention to detail here with bikes provided, skittles, and even branding irons for those who want to make their mark! We spent 3 nights here and it was super super hot, but the covered shelter overhanging the lake was a godsend. We loved it and so did our two doggies. Will be back again for sure, but maybe when it’s a tad cooler!
