We enjoyed the lovely creek directly behind the site. Water was waist high and super refreshing after a long day. Note the steep bank to enter/exit the water. I think a rope around the tree nearby would be helpful to access the water for those needing a bit more support. Peter was extremely accommodating delivering firewood and going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We totally lucked out with an Aurora sighting and a meteor shower all night long during our stay. Peter’s property is the perfect viewing spot with wide open spaces under the amazing Vermont sky. Host was very responsive, site was beautiful and easy to find, there was a picnic table, two chairs, two firepits, and a charcoal grill waiting for us. Our dog loved running around the grass and playing in the river. Be aware, as another review mentioned, there was about a 7’ drop down to the river from Site 2, but there was a plastic chair to step onto that made it possible. We didn’t see the other sites at all the first two days, but on Sunday from about 4pm - 8:30pm there was a tractor working in the surrounding hayfield (pack your allergy meds!) mowing down the tall grass separating the sites - still plenty of distance between sites but definitely a different level of privacy. We look forward to coming back on our next trip to Vermont!" } ] }
