For those of us who enjoy getting as close to nature as possible this is everything you could ask for. The campsites are spread out to allow for privacy and amazing views. We never drove anywhere to hike as we found lots of places to explore right there on the ranch. My husband and I explored as much as we could and kept commenting on how much our boys would have loved this place when they were growing up. It really is a treasure. We truly hope to be back and maybe bring those grown-up boys and their families. Our campsite was worth the cost. The site is really pretty, very private, large and well maintained. Then there are the small touches that brought everything up a level. There are small solar lights all over the campsite that create a magical quality at night, without being bright or distracting. The porta potty was really clean and it smelled clean. Two hummingbirds live at the site due to a feeder they maintain on the campsite. There are several options for placing your tent depending on your preference. There is also some great hiking close by. The sites were spread out providing privacy. A stone fire ring with a metal cooking grate, shovel and grill cooking utensils were provided. A jug of water for handwashing, soap bandaids, and extra trash bags were also at the site. Bird feeders and hummingbird feeders were at the site, near the picnic table. Very close views of nuthatches, chickadees, and jays. Chipmunks also visited the feeder. Owls were heard at night and lots of stars. The only drawback was the we had some difficulty finding a level spot. Overall, I would rate this place as excellent and would definitely visit again." } ] }
