It feels like the middle of nowhere and it really is. The site was quiet so we rarely saw or heard anyone else. The pitch had a compost loo, a kitchen shelter and drinking water tap. There are excellent hot water showers located a short walk away (no signs so you’ll need to ask for directions). There is a fridge/freezer (again no signs so you’ll need to hunt for them - near the bins). There are no facilities in the kitchen shelter but a table and chairs are provided. There is also space for an open fire. The site would benefit from a communal washing up area with hot water. Despite a major storm and frequent rain we had an excellent stay and would recommend this site to those looking for a wilder camping experience off the beaten track. Having your own cooking hut with a water connection and your own compost toilet was amazingly luxurious camping. Made everything so easy. Loads to do in the area, beaches, reservoirs, the amazing hills and Howell the owner is amazing. What a great stay.
