A lovely welcome hamper which is a very nice touch. Location is quiet overlooking the Waveney Valley, ideal for sitting on the decking and watching the birds of prey hovering over head and an ideal base to go and explore the local area. The fire pit come barbecue was great as we cooked up some local produce on the first evening and ventured out to the Wortwell Bell for some pub grub on the second evening, which was also very welcoming. Overall it was a great short break and the railway carriage is well equipped, it seems like they have thought of everything to make you stay relaxing. Not sure what to add to previous 5-star reviews! The carriages are so so beautiful down to the tiniest detail. En suite bathroom, super cute wood burner, lots of warm blankets (it was -2 at night and we were toasty) and even a dog bed and blanket for our dog. We cooked outdoors on the fire pits and walked for miles during the day without seeing another person. The local town is great for shopping and lunch, but it's the endless views of countryside that made this really special for us coming up from London. I honestly can't recommend it highly enough. And huge thanks to both Holly and Richard for being on-hand but also hands off - and for the delicious dairy treats from the local farm. We stayed in Edward and it was stunning. Very well laid out and presented. The main section with the log fire was really cosy in the evenings but plenty of room to use the kitchen etc. The bathroom is lovely with a nice warm shower. All the products in the carriage are good quality and environmental friendly.\r\n\r\nThe welcome hamper with lots of goodies went down really well including the local beer and cheese . \r\n\r\nWe spent the days walking and also hired a canoe which was great fun. In the evenings we loved just chilling by the fire pit enjoying the beautiful peaceful countryside. The accommodation is well thought out, given the limits of space an old train carriage presents, and therefore it's cosy but still has everything you need. The log burner was great, and really added to the cosiness in the evening. I loved the 'pull out dining' table. There is plenty of space to eat outside too, and we enjoyed eating the delicious items supplied in the welcome basket on the peaceful decked area. Holly provided a warm welcome on our arrival, but after that you are given the privacy to enjoy your break safe in the knowledge you could contact her with any problems. We borrowed the bikes provided and cycled the short distance to Flint vineyard for the tour and lunch, which was a lovely experience. There is plenty to do in the local area and with a short drive to Norwich it's in a perfect location to explore, or not, as if like us you might like to just relax and eat (more) cheese! It was my husbands birthday, Holly and Richard thoughtfully left a tasty cake to celebrate, which was very much appreciated.
