The home is beautiful and as snug as you'd wish for a winter getaway to Big Bend. Solar power for nighttime lighting and good wifi. Rain water cachement, with a Berkey for filtration. Since we went to the park everyday we focused on additional conservation by bringing some collapsible beverage travelers and grabbing a couple of gallons at the spigot at Panther Junction. It's always good to have extra water in your car out here, anyway! The sunsets are beautiful, the stargazing excellent, and it's overall quite peaceful. The property is about 5 minutes from Jackass Flats, a convenience store, and 20 from Terlingua, the closest source for gas. This was our second stay here, and I look forward to coming back again. Jim is a considerate host and checked in via text throughout our stay.
