Pretty views between the mountains, and especially nice for sunrise and sunset. We were all alone, which was great. We had two regular cars (one had pretty low ground clearance) and were able to make it just fine. Make sure to plug in the GPS coordinates before you leave - this was helpful as we lost service after Alpine. Would recommend arriving the first day during daylight if possible, I bet it would be tricky to find in the dark. Happy camping!
