She had a flight the next day and this was a great way to spend our last night together. The grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and have the most wonderful breeze for a hot July afternoon. There's even a really great stargazing spot if you walk along the primitive campsite trail long enough, it opens to a huge opening of rock where we stargazed and watched the planes from ATL fly by. Staff were very friendly and all facilities clean and nice. Would for sure come back if travels take me this way! There was a big camping group on the same weekend we were there, about 110 people on the other side of the lake, and even with that, we were still at peace the entire trip. For what?!?! It wasn’t even protected for the rain. The ad page said “showers with HOT water!” Nope. The ad do NOT say “some sites in the sand”! Wasn’t planning on cleaning up from the beach trip I didn’t plan. The host helped me change my scissor jacks, so that was cool, but the rest…not worth sacrificing for the price.
