Bakers Akers is located in what used to be Nebblett, New Mexico but is now Virden, New Mexico. The one room Nebblett school house was located on this property. Virden was settled by the Mormons when they were ran out of old Mexico by Poncho Villa. This private campground was exactly what we needed! Lots of privacy, yards away from the Gila River, and beautiful trees to give us shade and keep is safe from the rain. It was such a great place!
