The two cabins are along the river\. One is perched on a ridge over looking the river and the other is right on the river\. The swimming hole is 30 feet from the lower cabin\. There is room for a couple campsites along the river also\. The south side of the ridge was a cotton farm decades ago, but was covered in timber when I bought it 12 years ago\. It’s rare they get to run free without worry of being too loud or disturbing others. Adin was very attentive and installed 2 different railings while we were there to assist my mother who is mobility challenged. He truly went above and beyond! Things to know in advance- There was plenty of firewood there so there’s no need to pack any. The river is calm and low. You will need to bring plastic ware or silverware if you have more than a couple folks with you. The cabin is small but Adin made great use of the space! Be sure to wear bug spray by the river & rocks. I was bite by something (didn’t see it). It was extremely painful and caused swelling & redness for a few days. We can’t wait to return to this gem of a cabin!
