Really did not know what to expect. From the descriptions and photos we gathered we would have privacy and space to ourselves. As we have generally been rustic campers this suited us just fine. Recently we became RVers, having spent our camping years tenting or in a teardrop. To dive into a RV Park or State Park scene was too big of a leap for us. This Hipcamp site fit our profile nicely. Although we were basically in a front yard, large, that is, we had privacy and plenty of space, even for our boat. All and all, the decision to stay at this site was based upon location, location. We were close to Torch Lake, accessible boat ramps , nice restaurants, farmers markets, etc. Our days and evenings were spent exploring the area and having a campsite nearby to come back to and start a campfire was ideal. The camp host was friendly and helpful. We love the area and would stay again.
